Kyle Carter was born in Houston Texas on September 6, 1976. He graduated
from Strake Jesuit College Preparatory located here in Houston in 1994. In
1998, he graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a government
degree and minor in philosophy. He attended law school at South Texas
College of Law and graduated in December, 2000. Kyle was licensed to
practice law in the State of Texas on May 2, 2001. He has been practicing law
for the past 6 years with the Carter Law Firm. He has also served as General
Counsel to the Texas Legislative Committee on General Investigation and Ethics
and General Counsel to the Texas Legislative Committee on Urban Affairs. Kyle
has extensive experience with jury trials, bench trials, administrative hearings,
and appellate proceedings across the State of Texas.
Kyle’s father, Eric Carter began practicing law in 1980. His mother the
Reverend Doctor Suzan Carter is a Methodist minister. Kyle has been married
for 5 years to his beautiful wife Melanie, who is a Texas C.P.A. The Carters
also have a 3 year old daughter Kylie and a new-born little boy Caleb. Kyle’s
best friend is a yellow lab named Max.
Kyle is a member of the Texas Bar, The Association of Trial Lawyers of America,
American Bar Association, the Association of trial Lawyers of America, the Texas
Trial Lawyers Association, the Houston Bar Association. He is listed in the Who’
s Who registry of International Professionals by the Who’s Who historical
society. Additionally, Kyle is a Mason and member of the Shrine of North
America. Kyle is a life-long Houston Resident.
